Behind every successful woman is Herself! Needs to celebrate this all through the week. Let’s review some important events for women in 2019.
Looking back my career, I switched roughly every 20 years.
Of course, my first 20 years were studying and learning how to grow up.
My second 20 years – one day, I got a crazy idea… I wanted to do something that would relate to contribute to make our earth healthy. The very next day then I quit my job with a Fortune 100 company, told my girl friend about it and more excitedly shared her with my new plan. She looked into my eyes and screamed, “Are you crazy?!” What a moment!
My third 20 years… well, I am just at the beginning, haha. I switched to deep tech and computing. I envisioned almost everything around our daily life would be automated in the near future.
Am I heading the right direction?
This seems to be in line with what a Feng Shui master has told me about the industries that are good during the next 20 years. See list here.
From this perspective, it seems my latest pivot is on the right track. Let’s wait and see.
What a lovely Sunday! Blue sky, sunshine, wind breeze – I could only enjoy at the balcony of my home, without wearing a mask.
Having been working from home for almost 2 months, the plan for Q1 was not executed in full as scheduled. It is high time to come up with a revised, realistic plan, if we are still keen to meet the annual targets. The challenges remain though with the uncertainly of how long the impacts of the virus outbreak is going to last. Who knows, anyway!?
Of course, I don’t have a crystal ball. But I do have a compass of Chinese astrology, though. Surprise? Staring at the luopan left on my desktop, I went into a deep thinking, recalling a conversation with a Feng Shui master not too long ago. He mentioned about our entering into the so-called “9th Era” (Year 2024-2043) in the 180-year cycle. “What is the next big thing for the next 20 years, I asked. The Feng Shui master replied, “Our time will be migrating from the “Era of Land” to the “Era of Fire”. According to the five-element philosophy, we shall keep an eye on the sectors that can potentially be benefited from fire.” Below are sectors he mentioned:
- high-tech, networks, information and communication,
- oil extraction,
- electricity, natural gas,
- solar energy,
- heart and eye technology
Are you involved in any of these industries? I think it may be time for me to downsize some of the businesses that are not on the list, and, develop those which are?
Singapore – https://www.singaporebudget.gov.sg/budget_2020
Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat unveiled an S$83.6 billion Budget and said “The world is seeing deep structural shifts today, coupled with near-term concerns over economic uncertainties and the novel coronavirus outbreak… All nations, big or small, will have to devise strategies and mobilise their people to navigate these changes and turbulence.”
Hong Kong – https://www.budget.gov.hk/2020/eng/index.html
Preventing and fighting against the epidemic, as well as deploying resources to alleviate the pressure on enterprises and the general public are our top priority.
- $30 billion Anti-epidemic Fund – to relieve the burden on those industries and employees in the eye of the storm.
- disburse $10,000 to Hong Kong permanent residents aged 18 or above, with a view to encouraging and boosting local consumption on the one hand, and relieving people’s financial burden on the other.
